Explorer II, but I would not buy off eBay unless you buy from a reputable seller. HK has plenty of great AD's and one of the best places in the world to buy a Rolex (I know, because I bought my first one there). Visit one of the AD's in HK.

EXPII is a great daily watch. Waterproof is my issue. I'm afraid to even test water against my Speedmaster, when I screw down the crown on my ExpII..I know it's good to go.

Can't go wrong with either. I have owned both, and only currently own the Speedy out of the two. It is my only non Rolex watch. You will love it. So many strap choices too.........nato, mesh, rubber, perforated leather, bracelet, etc.

Omega/Swatch...

I guess Breguet, Blancpain, Glasshutte, and any ring or jewelry from Tiffany's is "Swatch."

Ignorance. Do yourself a favor and pass on the Speedy so it can go to a true WIS.

I'd say the Exp 2 simply because I've grown tired of Omega's never-ending line of Limited Edition Speedmasters.

Over the years there have literally been dozens of these watches celebrating all sorts of events - moon landing anniversaries (10th, 20th, 35th, 40th), the 50th anniversary of the watch itself, various mission anniversaries (first spacewalk, last man on the moon, Apollo 15, Apollo-Soyuz linkup, etc) and many others in half-gold/full-gold. Then there was a special limited edition Snoopy watch and a "numbered edition'' (whatever that means) called "From the Moon to Mars''.

To me, this is just too much of a good thing.

That's a tough call. I had a Speedmaster Pro, but sold it to a friend who admired it more than me. I would go for the Explorer II. Wait a year until the new orange hand comes out, it'll be worth it.
