When I was growing up, and heard the word "Rolex," I thought of a TT Datejust with a fluted bezel and jubilee band.

I think it's a tie between:
SS Sub Date black TT DJ, white dial, Jubilee bracelet, fluted bezel YG DD, President Bracelet, gold dial, fluted bezel |

I think it's definitely the Sub, no doubt. Everyone talks about it.

I've loved watches for years and had only seen Datejusts out in public that I recognized as Rolex's. The TT DJ has to be the marquee rolex!

So many people wear the black sub around where I live that I don't even consider it a Rolex, just another sports watch... DJ is the quintessential Rolex historically and fashion-wise IMO. Whether that makes the black sub more popular or not, I'm not sure.

When you consider sales to men and women over the past 50 years, it has to be the DJ by a landslide.
