my day is measured in minutes not seconds. i have no practical application for chrono functions on a daily basis and when i do i use a polar with heart rate monitor, altimeter etc... i understand chrono movements are more complicated which may turn some people on, personally, like it nice and simple.

I use the chrono functions frequently to time various things. I'm also able to get by with a rotating bezel, as long as it's a good bezel not one that rotates unintentionally etc.

If I didn't have use for them I would want to get get a DJ or AK or something because I think those are beautiful watches.

I used to use an old chrono i had for BBQ timing now i use my subs bezel. and parking meteres which are now able to be used with my subs bezel, and travel time which i can also use my subs bezel. hmmm i guess my subs bezel does a lot of the same things i used to my use chrono for. probably everything except confirming my speedometer on my car is accurate.

I've used my Daytona chrono a few times while cooking, but I didn't buy it for that function. I just LOVE how it looks!!!

its more about tradition. i mean really, with cell phones and clocks basically on anything electronic these days , wearing a watch is more about making a statement about taste and dare i say "culture"?

im currently in geneva for a Conference EACTS 2010, and there are some guys here with 30k watches... (and they are wearing shorts and sandals!) talk about making a satement...

but yeah i bought my original gmt II cause i like liked the look of the "coke" bezel... it wasnt until i started actually travelling to europe quite frequently for work that i started actually using the GMT function... which was why when i was shopping around for a new watch i picked up the new GMT IIc instead of the sub-c, or the datona. (i actually do use the dual (now triple) time zone function of my GMTs)... i couldnt convince myself to get the sub cause i actually go swimming once or twice a year, and i sure as hell wont be wearing a 8k watch when i do...

anyway its all about what you like.. the daytona is a beautiful watch, but if i were to get one i can gauranty you there would be no real reason for me to use the chrono function. regardless im sure ur gonna enjoy it either way.

I had a Tag Link Automatic Chronograph and I used it when I would run or workout. However, I can do the same thing now with my Sub. I don't need EXACT elapsed time.

I use it in the kitchen but prefer the elapsed minute bezel on a dive watch. I have other chronos that I use the same way, but don't like how you have to unscrew the crowns on the daytona...

I accidentally use my chrono on my Seiko all the time. I look down and it is running. I stop it. I look down again, and it is running again. But other than that, I don't even use it. However, it won't stop me from buying the Daytona!!! :)

I guess it is not the function that matters...but the 'look' of the dial

to me, I hardly use the second hand to tell the time is now 9:47:24, but rather, that my DD is not 'dead' when I see the second hand moving...round the clock, so to speak

I enjoy and appreciate what ever I am wearing, it is a piece of art, moreover, it is ROLEX

Actually I've used my Daytona for several timing functions. Most of them were for fun but some were for real timing.

I think the chrono is a useless feature especially when the watch is equipped with a directional bezel. But I like to use the push button, and I like to see the second hand moving.
I used the chrono regularly for measuring almost everything: how long I take to go to job; the time for cooking a hard-boiled egg etc...
Definitely a nice toy for watch fan.
