I'd try it out first. If I had to choose just one watch, it would be the Sub or GMT. I can wear these watches for any occasion.
Good luck! |

If this is going to be your first watch in a while try the Sub/GMT and the DSSD. If your AD will let you buy and return within say 30 days (with all stickers in tact), you can trade up or down depending on your extended at home trial.
Personally, I'd go with the Sub or GMT too. But it's your call. Good luck! Last edited by Check; 20 October 2010 at 03:04 AM.. Reason: correction |

Well Chris, a lot of these guys don't know how big you are, for goodness sakes I think you must play linebacker for the Jags.

I really don't get some of these comments. I am in finance, and wear slim fit suits and shirts almost always, and choose the DSSD over my GMT II C and Daytona every day because it fits under every cuff, no matter the cut of the shirt- I wear mainly Hugo Boss, Paul Smith, and Etro, and have never had any problems. I see more DSSD's in the financial industry in Toronto than any other watch next to the 16610. The DSSD is absolutely versatile and goes with everything

The 16610, 116610, SD, and DSSD are all fantastic daily wearers IMO.
If there was such a thing as a Rolex fortune cookie, it would read: Octopus say, wear all four everyday. |

For a dress watch, the ticket is a DD, or a Datejust, or perhaps a nice OQ. Certainly one can't wear a DSSD with French cuffs!

Long story longer I'm picking up a GMT IIc to use during the week at work and I'm keeping the sdds for the weekend and for nights out on the town. If your only looking for one watch do not go with the sdds. Sad but true.

From what you have said I really think you should buy the DSSD - if not you'll always wish you had! If it doesn't work out change it later.

I would think the weight wouldn't much different than an 18kt Sub.
The height might be trouble for you with dress shirts. |

Try one on and see what you think - you might also try the new Seadweller ceramic - very nice indeed and not quite as big!

I have been wearing a DSSD since March on a 6 ⅝" wrist... so far so good. I have some thoughts posted on it at http://www.minus4plus6.com/deepsea.htm
