WHOA!!
Glad you're okay, Allan. And it's good to hear the poor deer didn't suffer. We have around 40 million sheep in New Zealand and I've yet to hit one!! Must be our good fencing!!! |

Glad you're OK bud The car can be fixed.
We have that same problem here this time of year also. They're out everywhere, all times of the day and night. If you hit a deer and it doesn't survive in NYS, you can take it for the meat.

Glad your alright, growing up on SW Pa this happened all the time. Some years back they changed the law to allow you to keep the deer. I remember waking up one morning and seeing one laying in the neighbors back yard the he hit and killed the evening before. A buddy on mine had a new care totaled a few years ago. They sell a beacon signal type thing I hear that is supposed to scare the deer away from the road when it hears the sound, probably doesn't work.
Glad your well. |

Glad you are ok. By the way, leave the deer hair on the car. It will validate the claim that you hit a deer (and not a tree). This makes a difference in the insurance. Yes, this is experience speaking.

We'd have this happen occasionally on the side of Houston I grew up on. The last guy I remember got a deer in the face... both dead.
Our biggest hazard on the side I live on now are cyclists going down 2 lane roads with no shoulders...
