I'll ask again...after only 7 years, why would you need to replace the bracelet???

I updated my ss bracelet on sub to solid end links. Rsc in Beverly hills charged 875$ with trade in of my old bracelet.

Anyone have any idea of what a current SS oyster bracelet would cost (With PCL's) like the ones on the GMTiic or SS Datejust II';s??

Get him to send just the head for service - don't risk not getting the original bracelet back.

An example from our forum...
Seller had/has a super jubilee for 1.25k$

If the prices quoted in HK earlier for replacement bracelets are correct, then it is perhaps a good deal there.

I do like the jubilee bracelet DJ more out of my two DJs. I may switch to a jubilee on another one of my DJs if I could get it at that HK price.

Last Saturday I asked an AD what a SS GMT bracelet was going for and I was quoted $1650.00 USD. The AD looked it up in the reference book while I watched.

I don't think you are comparing the same bracelets. The one in HK was the older 78360 bracelet without the solid end links and with hollow links. I don't think the old bracelets fit the new cases.

The Explorer in my Avatar has the 78360 fitted to it. I was replaced about eight years ago for about the price quoted in HK.

If you are looking for an excellent quality aftermarket bracelet buy one from John Brozek (the author if the Rolex Report). Here is the link: qualitytyme.net/pages/bands_bracelets.html

I bought one for my A serial Exp II - they are high quality, sold link and look identical. I put on the original clasp and was good to go.

Buy a good used bracelet

I just recently purchased a very good used Rolex TT 18K Jubilee bracelet for my DateJust for $650.

The watch came with an 18K Italian Jubilee that was very nice (it even had the crown on the outside of the clasp) but I wanted the entire watch to be total Rolex.

There are some very good used bracelets available but, as with the used watches, you have to be sure that you are buying a genuine item. Look to see if the inside of the clasp has all of the correct markings. In addition to the name Rolex, they should also contain markings that identify the materials used and a code for the year manufactured. I was lucky in that the codes, not only for 18K but the year code K which matched the year of my watch (1986).

It's the difference between a Rolex purist and someone who isn't. Some people care about keeping things entirely original, some don't. I do.

Some people frown on this.

I'll have an Oyster bracelet for sale 78369 /501B for sale in good condition as I have used it only for a few months over the years, always putting back the Jubilee after a few days.. How much should I ask for it?

i second that...
rolex of nyc gave me same price for TT sub this week.

SS quoted at ~1100 for Sub (but they won't sell it to me because it is not original to TT sub)

local dealer said he can get SS oyster for $550 it remains to be seen.\

i know SS is not original for my blue TT sub but there is no way i am spending ~3,500K on just a bracelet.

So what is the price for a new 116610 bracelet compared to the "old" (but definitely appealing) 16610?

That's the way to go IMO!

i think this the biggest reason that ss is often more in demand . the pemium for tt is just absurd.
