My first post. I just picked up a Maxi 1, Pre Comex 5.1 M serial in Buenos Aires last week. I am stoked, and it's currently on the left :-)

You should always remove the watch from your wrist when adjusting it. Something to do with placing stress on the wind / set mechanism. I read that in a manufactures manual - can't remember which one.

I have never once in my life adjusted the time on a watch while it was on my wrist. Ive always taken it off to adjust it.

On the left--crown out. They do make watches for the right hand with crown out-just not Rolex-Panerai does.
