Congrats on your new watch!! I bought my first Daytona a few months ago and was afraid to wear it too-it was too perfect to mess up in anyway! So at first I wore it only sporadically, and carefully, and it still collected scratches (argh!!). Once I got over that and basically said screw it, I bought it to wear, I actually started to love the watch more than I did at the beginning when it was "perfect". So I urge you to wear it everyday, but don't worry if it takes you some time to get to that point. Developing a relationship with your watch is a personal and enjoyable process.

Wear it everyday, in a couple of months, it will just be a watch, but a great one that will give you pleasure every day.

Thanks Alcan! I'll try to add what I have now and will add better quality pics in a bit.
Is it wrong that I'm already looking at a second Rolex? I love the sub but the new gmt also speaks to me. |

It's not wrong, in fact it's almost required. When the bug bites, you become infected.

Congrats on your 16610! It is a classic and I wear mine all the time.
Just be careful wearing it to work. Just a few weeks ago someone made a comment about my watch and something about his tax dollars on my wrist. I juat smiled and asked if he owned a home and lived in the city where I work. He said "no" and I just laughed and said not to worry about it. It was a very long conversation) It was a long conversation and he ended up saluting me the bird. I have a strong feeling I will be seeing him again!
