Yeah guys, I actually DID trade the SD back to the Dealer for the Sub Date. Sorry if I didn't clarify that. I love the SubDate. But wish I had the SD too.

As stated above, there really is NO wrong choice, so don't feel bad. I'm prone to doing the same sort of thing. I also lurked on the forum for quite a while, looked at several privately owned watches and sellers' websites with good photos. But finally, I ended up examining both at an AD and chose the Sub after 25-30 years of wanting one! Just had to talk myself onto taking the plunge, so to speak (I'll never make it to 1000 feet after all). The AD offered me an additional 2 years of warranty service beyone Rolex's, and that finaly tripped the switch. The Sub Date may very well be cliche, but I don't care because it is what I wanted: a genuine classic. A quintessential Rolex. I hope you enjoy your Sub Date for many years, and in good health. If you want a SD, just save up! Both are winners! You bought the Sub Date for YOU, and that is what counts.
