I have been a lurker for a while now...and you obviously don't know me.

But I would just like to say JJ...I have read countless posts, I have seen your jovial bald headed face on threads everywhere..and you really make this site brighter!

I am genuinely saddened by your plight...and I have never been in touch with you. I am sure I am not the only one on this site that feels that way!
Point is, if you can touch someone who you have never been in touch with and who has just seen your banter with other people and your character..then it shows what type of man you are..your integrity.

You are a solid guy...I wish you all the best and I really hope you pull through this tough time.

All your friends and family are rooting for you......and now this LURKER too!

YOU WILL OVERCOME THIS!

I don't know what fair or unfair is but I am reasonably sure that there is more to "life" that what we see, hear, or touch. I comfort myself in knowing that long after I am gone, there will be people who love me and will keep me in their hearts so that when they pass, they will wonder about me and remember me. I also believe that there are people who have already left this world, who love me and kept me in their hearts, and can't wait for me to join them.

Hi JJ,
I lost my mom to Leukeamia in June 2009, she fought bravely for 14 months and fought tough till the end. She spent many months in and out of hospital often for lengthy chemo and blood transfusions. The treatment did knock her around, but She never once showed her family that she was scared and always tried to be up-spirited when we visited her.
Seeing her waste away in them 14 months was very very very hard to handle
I often question WHY was she taken away from us at the age of only 64???? And I'm still seeking an answer to this question..............

Mate, I pray for you and wish you all the best and I ask for a recovery for you. Get well soon.

Best Regards
Des

Thanks, Eddie.

Visited my local GP this afternoon who gave me a thorough examination and prescribed some antibiotic for my fever.

The nurse changed all my last week's procedure bandages with great efficiency.

Bad things always happen to the best people. In this mess at least you're fortunate enough to have a big family and loads of friends from around the globe who all support and think about you

I really hope you beat this JJ as the world will be a much sadder place without you my friend!

JJ.

The measure of a person is not in their physical attributes but in their actions. You are still performing admirably by attending to your family and your friends. Your strengh is showing all of us how to deal with adversity.

Please keep up the good work.

JJ, you are one of those rare human beings that touch in a positive way, everyone you come in to contact with. Just look at this forum, I think it is obvious. We are all better for having you in our lives, and are all praying for you and your family.

Even though I have never shaken your hand, I would be honored if you allow me to call you my friend.

JJ, I truly believe that all things are possible through love and positive thinking.

I know that it must be hard to remain positive JJ, but you must believe you will get better, visualize yourself better now, and feel as if you are better NOW, and remain positive, the universe will respond in kind.

My positive thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

JJ, It's gotta be hard, but please don't focus on the push-ups you can't do today and keep your mind positive on what you'll do when you recover. Stay positive, I now look here first when I log on to see your bald head. You're like the TRF mascott!

I really hope that soon you`ll be able to do more push ups than ever, my friend! And when you need some training advice, I`ll be glad to give you some! Hell, I think that I`ll come to Sheepland to be your personal trainer!
Just BE WELL, my friend!
All the best to you and your family!

That's one of life's great mysteries. I watched my grandfather die in his mid-eighties after smoking heavily for over 60 years. Never heard him cough.

My Dad, also a smoker, dies at 60 from smoking related illness. I was very young and have not gotten over it, even after 30 years.

My wife's nephew, 25 year old Marine. A beast of kid physically and the picture of health, comes down with bone cancer and is gone in 3 months. Never really had a chance at life.

All just reminders to enjoy each day, show those you love how much you love them, be kind to all those you deal with.

JJ, when I first thought about getting a Rolex, the first link I clicked on was a post by you here at TRF. You've brought many smiles to my face as I've lurked here daily, and I look forward to many more in the future. You'll be in my prayers daily.
