Best move ever back to being a tool watch! I considered doing this to mine but just ended up selling it instead. Great work.

Funny enough I agree that looks good. I seem to have done the same to mine by wearing it as my daily beater absolute tool watch. The wholes bracelet has mellowed alot.

I like it, and I like the PCLs. If they sold it both ways, choosing would be more difficult than it is already.

On the plus side, it would give some an excuse to own one more SKU variant!

Enjoy.

Thanks guys. The requested wrist shots, using on-camera flash to show the effect achieved as clearly as possible (although the resultant lighting is quite harsh)...

Very well done.

Perfection would be to mount a SubC bracelet on it to get the new clasp as well.

Looks great. I had a GMT IIc before my current SubC (and 5513), but never liked the PCL's as they were scratch magnets AND as you say seemed just a bit too blingy.

Anyway, just wondering ... with both the GMTIIc and SubC now sporting supercases, would the glidelock bracelet from the SubC fit the GMTIIc? That way, you'd have ROLEX BCL's as well as a (IMO) better clasp.

Anyone know?

Yes I think a BCL looks better on a gmt than a PCL. Nice job.

I like the bling and had the bracelet polished on my GMT but after all the scratches I decided that it was time to go back to the brushed look. I have to agree that after looking at what they did to your bracelet I dig the look of it. Nice work.

Do you think Rolex will update the GMT-IIC and other models with the new clasp?

but seriously... how many current SS GMTIIC owners here on TRF would do the exact same to their SS GMTIIC?
I just paid $150 to get it back to LNIB condition to sell it, but if I was keeping it, I'd do this in a heartbeat, especially after seeing these pics.

Beautiful job! Rolex should offer the option of either polished or brushed center links. The classic brushed SS Oyster bracelet is classy in its own right. I love both modern and vintage Rolex but if I had to choose, I'd definitely pick the classic brushed finish.

The brushed bracelet is VERY pleasing to the eye, compared to the PCL, on the GMT!

I prefer it this way also. Great job
Funny thing is I have not seen anyone put PCL on a Sub-C but many have brushed the GMT. That tells me most like it brushed.

I like it, looks like a superb job!

I have a 3 months GMT II-c. the PCL does have some light markings.
Does it make any difference to do it now or 2 -3 years from now?

Looks great to me ! I wore my sub bracelet on my 2c because I didn't want to degrade the original in case I sold it. Good thing, I sold it and got a new Sub c.. You are correct that is the way it should have been.
