Wempe ordered a watch for me to try on last time I was there. Called yesterday that they got it in. Going in tomorrow to see if I like it in person. If I don't - no problem.
It is always an awful experience in NYC Tourneau stores. One time they tried selling me a used Explorer II Polar for $5500 but for an extra $500 I would get a extra year warranty. Essentially selling a used watch for more than a new one.

Wempe is always a much better experience even when window shopping. When you have a store on 5th Ave. in NYC you need to expect most of the people walking into your store are window shoppers. You should not have staff giving customers attitude just for looking which is the norm at Tourneau.

Buy an original chicken sandwich at chik-fil-a. The experience
Will be far more memorable. Tourneau sucks, has sucked, and
Will continue to suck until it goes away. Awful service at multiple
Locations paired w lack of product knowledge is a recipe for failure.

You'd think they are totally oblivious! Read what your real customers
Say about you.

Get a clue tourneau.

Looks like DavidSW and I will be making this happen. I knew he would come through. I am awaiting details from him on how to proceed.

DavidSW is THE MAN. I have bought 5 or 6 Rolex watches from him now. Nothing like mailing him a $20,000+ personal check for a watch that he will not have for 4-6 weeks.

Honestly, I would probably trust that guy with my checkbook. He is a really upstanding guy

Welcome to TRF Nate and best wishes pursuing your watch! Personally, I've had great experience with David SW.
