Perhaps one way to look at it is that the late Paneristi moderator gave a posthumous $20,000+ gift to 300 of his closest friends.

Who's not to say that these friends won't use some of the proceeds to help good causes if and when they sell their 360.

This way it would properly honour this chap and turn a potentially spiteful scenario into a positive one.

The 360 debacle turned me off on paneristi.com. Not that I was that into cults before that anyhow.

The never ending supply of special and limited editions has turned me off on Panerai

It is funny. They are BAAAAAAAD about email. I've emailed them on 4 occasions. Only response I ever had was the foxtrot oscar model in regards to the 360.

I've emailed them asking when their traveling road show would be coming near my town as I'm highly interested in a few models from SIHH 2011. No response. Bad on them IMHO.

I've cooled off PAMs at the moment. Like the bronze Sub, but that's about all. Got rid of mine and replaced it with a nice Jaeger Extreme W. Alarm, couldn't be happier.

Nice one as well, I just don't use chronos. Don't own a single one... Like to see the big second hand sweeping at all times!

I have bought and sold a ton of watches but the Extreme world chrono is the only one I regret and would bring back...such a stunner!!

but the question remains unanswered :-)

Were the last 360 delivered months ago or are there still a few left fot he best Panerai clients

I really think Paneristi didn't get that much 360's ( maybe 100 ) and the other 200 were for Panerai VIP's.
Once Panerai saw how sought after this piece was I think they kept it for their best clients.
The best can be
- those with a huge collection,
- those who already bought Panerai 15 years ago,
- VIP's like Stallone, Bill Clinton, Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, Ben Affleck, Pierce Brosnan, Orlando Bloom (big Panerai collector) , Schwazenegger, Heidi Klum, Hugh Grant, ...
- people well known to Panerai
- ...
