I have read a number of threads/posts where people make the assumption that rolex quality has gone down recently due to small flaws in their watches. Just remember that not very long ago there was no Internet, and therefore no forum for people to get together and compare. With the number of watches being sold and the relatively small number of complaints I would hazard a guess that there is no difference in quality. I also expect that the people visiting this forum on average are much pickier about their purchases. (how many non wis types would consider looking at their watches with loupes?).
I think ere are a lot of unrealistic expectations out there. These watches come a long way from their place of manufacture, are often handled by many people before being bought, and let's face it there are going to be imperfections and sometimes they get by the quality control process. Is every Mercedes or Lexus absolutely flawless on delivery?
My two cents worth.
Cheers

Thankfully nothing except normal wear and tear. Little scratches and a small bracelet issue. Overall. I am very happy with mine.

When I bought my s.d. 16660, the bezel was super sharp. The little dimples in the bezel. I scratched my kid with it accidentally and I think I got it with a stranger walking on the street. Doesnt seem sharp anymore. Harry

SUB-C bought new from an AD came with a scratched crystal, dust under the cyclops, a white spot on the black face and last week i noticed that the hour hand and minute hand are out of sync, what's worse is that the watch was sent back to rolex to be fixed and it came back with the same scratched crystal while on the report it said the crystal was changed, the AD recontacted Rolex and they said there was a mix up and ill have to send it back, which means another 10 weeks without my watch, Id have to say that this is was my first and last ever Rolex purchase

My GMT2C is perfect other than the lume is not evenly painted/put on. Some areas are darker than the other, etc. It really doesn't bother me though.
