But as I learned more about the company and the products I gained a respect for them that I didn't have in the past. Like any luxury product, people buy them for so many different reasons. I would bet that Rolex has one of the most diverse group of buyers because it is so universally known as a fine watch brand.

The very origins of this watch are "monstrous"..a "loud duck" Northern Portuguese man, (from Porto) once had a pocket watch by IWC..and he wanted to award some friends with watches that showed "money" so he an idea...he asked IWC to make wristwatches like his pocket watch...he ordered a few..and gave these monstrous loud watches to his friends..

Where I come from..if you don't have one..you're not rich!!

A beautiful watch..unfortunately the size of 19" car wheels!!

monstrous I meant size, not looks, off course

this link provides a more "subtle" less mostrous explanation as mine..i knew the sons of the Portuguese in question

here....rest my case...

almost looks like the size of watches clowns use!!

You claim to have "done well" in some exams. Did any of these exams involve spelling, punctuation, syntax, you know the sort of thing?

I smell troll.

I would have thought that the sixteen year old son of an investment banker would have had access to a camera and a basic knowledge of how to upload a photo or two...

I'm sure the guys who defended the OP a few days ago are all just dying for a little look-see!

It probably takes less than a minute to take a picture, upload it & post it. I think you'd do yourself a favour to take that minute or else your never going to get taken seriously on here. This is a friendly piece of advise by the way

Take it out of the safe? I thought you had been wearing it to school and your friends were all questioning you about whether it was real? Strange that you should wear it to school but lock it in the safe on a Sunday night...

Paton you have to invest in a camera, sorry I mean you have to ask daddy to buy you a photographer so we can see your watch.

And when it comes to ages, from boys with rich parents through to those who have saved all their lives to buy one in retirement.

I would say that there are probably as many different types of Rolex owners as there are Rolex owners.
