Hi Folks. New to this board. I just bought a new 116610 SS sub to replace my mid-'90s two-tone (blue face) Sub. I like the classic black bezel and face colors. But I also love the look of the white gold Sub with the blue face. (No way can I afford it.) I always thought I might replace my two-tone with a stainless sub and have blue parts installed custom. But the new-generation band and clasp sold me on the new version, so now I'm wondering what the possibilities are for new new-generation version with the ceramic bezel to be customized to blue/blue. I know, it's not 'proper' to do this. But I can't get over the look of stainless and blue. Just me, I guess. Ideas? Thoughts? Thanks much. -m

Unfortunately there is about a .0001% chance of you being able to do this... Rollex will not sell you the parts, you would need someone with a Rolex Parts Account to get your hands on this...then expect to pay between $3-6k for the dial/blue insert from the WG sub...

I too love the blue of the WG Sub and Rolex will NEVER make it on SS as this would eliminate the need to spend the money on the gold... Anyway, best thing you can do is start saving now

As for the blue ceramic bezel insert, Rolex policy is "replacement only". Even an AD won´t be able to order one without sending the "broken" one back to Rolex.

That's actually just what the ADs are told to say, in fact they only need the watches serialnr for ordering a new part, the old parts go in a drawer in the backroom, for real.

the only way is to buy both 116610 LN and 116619 LB..and you change the ceramic bezl of the LN with the LB ...and you order another LB bezel to your AD

I'll be afraid to try as it is fragile.

I love the "shark." I don't think we'll see a bezel swapping trend with ceramics; they're pretty expensive for a bezel plus they're still pretty tough to get ahold of. Then you have the problem of installing them. I hear they're rather brittle and can break upon installation if you're not careful.

Kind of poserish in my opinion. I think most would assume counterfeit if just the bezel was swapped. I know I would.
