Colors maybe. But, no.
The ceramic bezel on the new Daytona looks like a magnet for damage. |

Will they replace the old steel one as well or the new Daytona comes only in gold and they will keep the steel style?

I can not imagine how horrible would be the traditional steel style with that colored bezel. I will keep my V serial ; )

Don't get me wrong. I don't like Hublots...but i also can't ignore the color/materials similarities.
I do think that the Daytona is the ultimate chronograph and that's why I own a SS version and just purchased a WG one.

No, not even close. The Hublot is an excellent watch, but there are so many differences between it and the Daytona. Like, the screw down pushers, the band, the dial etc.

aside from being Rose and black, no....not at all. Sorta like saying a Rolls Royce and a Volkswagen look alike because they're both black with chrome.

The daytona has nice smooth curves and is not "blocky" like the hublot or AP.
I don't think they look alike at all. |

Apart from the fact that they are both chronos, no I don't think they look alike.
But I have to say I like both - the Hublot Big Bang is a handsome watch and the new Daytona with ceramic bezel certainly looks great! |

sure.
to say you dislike hublot is one thing, but to say that it is a copy of AP is ridiculous. If you look at hublot's history, it is clear that the watch evolved very naturally. ignorant bashers will always look down on brands they know nothing of. |

I think a Hublot looks better than the new ceramic daytona....

The Hublot looks more like a AP RO wannabe. The new rose gold Daytona is beautiful.

While I don't have a Roo or a daytona or a Hublot let's face it the big bang is a copy of th Roo. Hublot is IMHO a ridiculous brand apart from is age which doesn't really matter considering one of the best watch makers in the world fp journey is younger. It's age doesn't bother so much a its lack of any kind of in-house movement as well as the ridicous prices they charge for non precious metal watches and it's ridious marketing. It reminds me some what of suitmakers like Armani they charge as much as Brioni or kiton but there really nothing more then a Brooks Brothers or hickey freeman. They are a gimmick plan and simple while there a good company for it lime Armani there not good watches.(disclaimer I hope no one gets offended especially if u wasted ur money buying this watch we all make mistakes and I make most of them.)

otherwise i agree with you. the problem in case of hublot is not the lack of engineering or fantasy as there are many mediocre watchmakers lacking those qualities, it is mainly the marketing gimmick and the price which make people believe they buy a timepiece comparable to ap, jlc, patek and co.

Well your grammar is certainly better. I can count numerous Hublot's that sell for over list retail price. I can only think of one Rolex that does that, and those days are over. I love Rolex, but I only wear one...the deep sea. The Daytona in my opinion is too small but is a very beautiful watch. My wife wears a YG Day date II, and the daytona is next on her list.....but she is 120 pounds. |

Again, there are many watches that Hublot makes that sell for over retail list price and they retain that value. How many Rolex's do that? None, now that the daytona has lost a lot of interest. Rolex makes over 1 million watches per year. Hublot makes about 25k. But you're right, the price point is higher than most Rolex owners can afford. People who say it's a "marketing gimmick" clearly don't understand marketing either....How do you think Rolex got to selling 1 million watches per year? |

Speedo I agree with u completely. You can not be a relatively new brand ry on gimmicks and celebrities to sell ur watches. While there are gimmicky marketing brands like AP and Rolex they have a histroy which Hublot doesn't they have a history a continuing one I fact of innovation Hublot doesn't and unlike AP or Rolex or anyother quality brand they only have one watchs the big bang. WHAT A BIG JOKE.
