That is a tough one. Think I might have to settle for the pepsi for it's colour options.

It's nice to have choices like this
GMT - more versatile - it goes from the pool and ocean to a suit with ease! |

As mentioned you can dive with the pepsi. I have been in plenty of pools and oceans with the pepsi. Good for 100m. Get bored with the bezel buy black or coke bezel. Very balanced on the wrist. Pepsi.

SD although I love the GMT's. it's the color bezel that's great to have but as day to day, I prefer the black insert.

Both great watches and ....
.... I'm lucky to own one of each. I'm vintage through and through but the SeaDweller would be the keeper for me.
The SD has pure classic looks and Rolex reliability, wrapped up in a chunky bullet-proof case. By comparison, the 1675 always seems just a bit frail |

I'm agonizing over the same decision. I have the GMT II Pepsi and SD and want to get rid of one to reduce the size of my collection. I go back and forth daily. I prefer the comfort of the GMT but the lack of cyclops on the SD is a major plus for that watch. Also, I have a 1675 and believe that keeping a GMT and GMT II maybe a bit repetitive. Tough call.

I would go with the GMT... tracking 2 times zones can be very helpful if you travel a lot.

SD is very nice but I would go with the GMT pepsi. IMO it is not really versitile, it is 100% tool watch, great looking and THE iconic Rolex sport watch.
Note to self: must pick up one |

SD cause it is an over engineered watch, trip lock crown versus twin-lock.
Clean looking dial, no cylops. Has additional wet suit extension for diving. Crown is also bigger, easier to grasp IMHO.

Even though I am a huge GMT fan I would choose the SD simply because it underwent a pretty drastic change when the Deep Sea was launched....the GMT has also changed but I much prefer the ceramic bezel and the trip-lock crown on the new ones over the pepsi....o yeah and the clasp, and the solid links...my point is..at least the new GMTs look kinda like the older ones...the Deep Sea is a different animal from the SD.

Pepsi GMT. Extra points if you go VINTAGE!!!! DSSD is just WAY TOO BIG... You will never be able to wear that with a dress shirt but if marooned on a desert island it makes a great hammer as well as an anchor for a boat up to 50 ft is needed...
