You do wear it?
I wish this could be true. As this wasn’t posted in a ‘scan day’ thread, I can get away with the fact that I don’t own that work of art. It’s beyond my means. And please, don’t use the German spelling of my name. It’s Frans, with an S.

Tough call, I feel both watches are appropriate. Considering the uniform and the event, I would go DJ. It's understated and elegant and the blue face is certainly reminiscent of a nautical theme. Either way you can't go wrong. Those Navy whites sure do remind me of my dad. Have fun!

Not a great pic, but here it is. I should note that I have TWO of those medals, but I couldn't find the little star. Guess I was technically out of uniform. :(

Dress Whites or Blues. No matter.
My 5512 was the only choice.
Gave up the uniforms in '74.
The 5512 is relaxing on the winder tonight.

Work watch: Sub no date.
Class B's watch: Sub with date for E-6 and below, SD for E-7 and up.

All officers should wear TT Sub with Blue Face.

O-6 and above may wear Yacht-Master with bezel redone to say Battleship-Master.
