Oh & of course, the mandatory 'pics or it didn't happen' images ... Selfish like that aren't we ? |

Great news.... and great buy......Well done. I looked very closely at that baby before i pulled the trigger on my own new acquisition ( a FF open 6's also with full package). But the hassle of getting it back to the UK and import taxes etc stopped me. But gorgeous set
And I had the same butterflies... crazy really... grown men with cars, houses, families, a stack of boys toys and, indeed, plenty of other already got grails BUT the latest acquistion is always the most exciting . It's a slippery slope from here on in..... - especially when you have the likes of Ken showing off their amazing collections and enticing us with even more desirable and beautiful catches |

It's good to get excited about something every once in awhile, it makes living that more enjoyable. Hey, if you didn't get excited about your passions they wouldn't be called passions in the first place. Ken's an enabler, a real Bad Bad Man!! Actualy I have my own mind and no one forced my hand, I have no idea what I am doing, and all I know is I wanted a real nice to excellent vintage watch. I've been thinking about a Red Sub almost since I knew they existed. He just helped me when I decided I wanted to get one. Ken's one heck of fine gentleman as he assisted me when I asked for help. Condition is King, as Ken would say.

Words to love by. Can't lose with this kind of thinking. Im so excited for you, this is your first vintage so prepare yourself for a potential life altering change. Once you experience the one of a kind character and uniqueness of the vintage world don't be surprised if you get bored with your "everyone has one" modern watches. Just a warning, welcome to the club my friend

Yeah this is SO TRUE. However, I would still recommend keeping a "modern" one around to have as a beater, just like my 1993 14060 I wear daily. |

I know I have looked forward to getting one for awhile, I just don't think it has truly sunk in yet. However I know I am going to enjoy it possibly even more than I expected. The fact that I have recieved such tremendous assistance from Ken and such a warm welcome on the forum makes this so much easier and a truly fantastic experience. Thanks, Dan Thank you.

Mine was running strong but hadn't been serviced since the mid 80's, the crown felt a little gritty too so thought it only fair to send it away for a bit of RSC TLC. in week 14 of the quoted 18-20 period. Having it serviced, proofed etc with all original major bits untouched....i appreciate that others are able to service quicker & a bit cheaper but mine is a complete set & the RSC paperwork will put the cherry on the top & give it some additional verification..got myself a handful of Nato's waiting & just picked up a crackin' 93150 for a top price too
