The JLC Master Compressor probably has one of the highest residual value to actual retail cost of any watch that I can think of.

I would also posit that most Glaushettes take fairly high depreciation hits.

"Dress" watches tend to be well cared for and the best values are generally found in the pre-owned market.

Both watches posted are gorgeous pieces and I would recommend trying both on before purchase if possible.

I'm certain most of the folks who are members of this board are experienced watch buyers and realize that wrist look and feel are as important as any other consideration.

I really like the JLC and have tried the SS model a couple of times. I must admit I had overlooked the YG version, it looks absolutely stunning in the OP's photo.

JLC all the way. Have you considered the A Lange Sohne Lange 1? Additionally as beautiful are any of the Brequet pieces, some of the classique models perhaps?

Just faced that happy dilemma recently. I chose JLC RDM Ultra Thin in SS. Love it.

My first choice would have been the GO Panoinverse if they made it in a 39 but the 42mm was just a bit too big for a dress watch IMO.
