The picture you had didn't reveal the serial # and that's why I asked when you wondered where to find it.

We usually don't post the entire serial # but the letter and first three digits is ok.

So what is your serial #?

unscrupulous types will steal your photos and use them to sell fake watches (or no watches at all) on ebay and craigslist.

/nice watch, btw. would LOVE a gold president one of these days...

I put everything in the safe deposit box in my bank yesterday. I'll take a look again tomorrow.

So, the one on the left upper corner on the warranty certificate is not the serial number?

I see. So no real danger for me the owner.
I guess thieves do anything and everything.

Take it to a pawn shop and see what they will give you for it. Dont even tell them you think it might be fake. Tell them you need a loan for like 2k. If you take to an AD they are going to charge you a couple hundred bucks to open it. Most pawn brokers can spot a fake a mile away.

Nice watch congrats.

BTW I always thought 118238 have the new solid clasp and solid middle link but I can see the pic on the OP looks like the old clasp. How can someone tell if a 118238 is the one with all the updates (solid non stamped clasp and solid middle link)? What year period did all the updates come in?

Could very well be allthough I've never seen a more "Home made" looking certificate before.

I saw identical looking certificate on some of the for sale post. They also covered few numbers on the left top corner.

Thanks everyone. I am really happy, although I'm not a gold kinda guy. Would have preffered SS daytona, but being a racer, I want to win it, not buy it.

The pictures in the link aren't showing.
Maybe you can unfold your certificate and show a picture of it?
I really would like to satisfy my curiousity.
