Bring whichever watch you like; heck, bring both! They're both very good for water sports and fine dining. :D

I would definitely go with Sub C, and leave GMT at home. GMT is able to do almost anything like Sub, but...it`s what Sub is made for!

The GMT works better changing time zones.

I would have no qualms about swimming with my Exp II, I can't see why you'd worry about the GMT.

My GMT loved the trip to Turks and Caicos. Some light snorkeling and allot of pool time.

Hej Mogens!

Why did you buy the green dial 116718 if you are not going to use it on a cruise and a sun drenched villa somewhere beautiful? Sounds ideal to me.

If you do bring that one, I would perhaps bring something like a G-Shock as well for those rare occasion that you are water-skiing, wind surfing etc.

I changed my collection so that I had a sub just for that job (swimming, sport and all around activity) I used to use a Tag day date but I missed wearing Rolex.

Take the sub (IMHO)

If it was me I would take the Sub. It is up to the task and you should have no problems.

GMTIIC wont be an issue with swimming, unless you are planning on going down further than 100m.
Have taken my 116710LN on summer holiday and it went in the pool, beach/ocean with me.
Take it and enjoy it

The sub is the perfect "all around" watch. Looks great out by the pool or at a formal evening outing. You just can't beat a sub.

My wife and I both swam at a friends house with our Subs over the holiday even though the host suggested that his heavily chlorinated pool could damage our watches. He was wearing a solid gold sub and said that gold would not be affected

You're from Norway...and you're going on a cruise...and then to a villa...and you love the golden one...no question about it! Wear the gold - never take it off...sleep with it...swim with it...party with it...build sandcastles with it...never take it off....shower with it....dance with it....dine with it....keep my, ummm, your precious with you.

And never take it off - you MUST post day and night WRUW pics on TRF from departure until you return.

I say bring one for casual/water activities and another for evening wear. Problem solved.

You answered your own question. You stated that you would really like to take the Gold GMT. So do it. Wear it and enjoy the vacation and the watch.

Rolexes should definitely be enjoyed while swimming, diving, snorkeling, showering, etc. Nothing looks better than a Rolex underwater or by the water. Perhaps these shots will convince you of taking your Sub with you.
