I think mikey you are right the new split keyboard may be a great enhancement on the new iOS5.....I'll just have to wait and see.
Is the new iOS5 going to be a free update for existing ipad2 users?

I have OS 5 beta 2 on both my iPad and iPhone and it's really nice. There are a few features that I enjoy having.

Why want a better front facing camera?
It's mainly intended for video chat and for that, you do not even need one megapixel. The rest would just go to waste and the cost would be passed down to the consumer.

We have the version 1 and use it all the time. One great feature is the photo sync. Especially for the grand parents. Can load it up, and they are there for the visits and the pix are large enough for old eyes ( mine and theirs).
Wife uses it all the time for time wasting apps. I am thinking of getting myself one, along with the camera sync cable, so I can upload photos while travelling.

I just picked up an iPad 2 for my wife since she's been wanting one for awhile. She use to have an iPod Touch and currently has an iPhone so she knows the limitations of the iPad. She mainly uses it to play games, surf the net and watch NetFlix. She also has a MacBook Air which we may end up selling.
I personally don't have a use for a tablet. |

I was in a meeting with a MAJOR guitar amplifier manufacturer once. He was prepping a promotion for a big box music retailer, and they were looking to do a promo price of "25 combo amplifiers for $2,500" dealer cost. Someone asked the wattage of the amplifiers, and he replied that they were 20 watts. We mused that it sure would be great to offer 25 25 watt amplifiers for $2,500. Someone asked "What would we need to change to have them be 25 watt amplifiers?". The product manager thought for a moment and replied "The label". |

Manufacturers kinda have to use what's available and the newer the device, the greater the chance they'll be using a newer, denser sensor. It's all in what's available coming off the fabs. Once the fabs are switched over to making denser sensors, it would actually cost more to have a lower density sensor made special for the device. Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk |

Plus you get a lot of this: "Wow, this is GREAT. Fast. Cheap. Light. " "Yep, works great" "Look how quick this launches!" "Yep, works great" "What video chip is this?" "AXDR145:6a" "WHAT?!?!? The AXDR145:7b has been shipping for TWO WEEKS! This is CRAP!" "Uh, the 7b uses 50% more power, is 30% larger, would add $61 to the retail, and you'd never notice a difference in the experience..." "***I*** would notice now that I know about it because I am ALPHA GEEK! None of this crap for me, these people are CROOKS trying to pawn the 6a off as usable!" |

From what I have seen the iOS 5 looks great too. Now I don't know when it is going to be released....no date as yet, but they say later this year. I can't work out the seasons, but I'm guessing it will be in September when they release the new iPhone..
