Are you suggesting the DSSD is too small and he should get the one in the picture?

I really need to explain it for you? Flavor Flav is a fan of huge "time pieces", a pic of him giving your personal choice comment regarding the DS two thumbs up was a joke. No I definitely would not suggest the DS or bigger.

I didnt try the SubC because i felt that it looks too similar to my GMTc.

I think you will like the Deepsea and should go for it. It's a fantastic watch! Love mine.

I have a small wrist 6.5 and have tried on the DSSD. I felt that it was to large for my wrist. I am currently looking at a 16600 Sea Dweller which fits my wrist much better. I do agree with the other post that you should go to your AD and try it on. I would also suggest that you take someone else in with you and get that persons opinion. I am currently wearing a SS Daytona. When I first tried it on I thought that it was to large. My previous watch was a Date Just and a Mid-Size Omega Seamaster. I took my wife in with me and she told me the size of the watch was perfect because when she looks at it she is looking at it as it compares to my entire body. When I was looking at it I was simply focused on the watch on my wrist. Anyway have fun and good luck. My vote would be to serious consider the SD 16600. Hope this helps.
