My boss doesn't wear a watch. But I don't think he cares what I wear anyway.

people who say that will never be the boss of anyone. dress how you want, and if it's nicer than your boss then maybe he should take notice and either step up his game or be ready to have someone take his job. that is if dress codes are that important where you work. and wearing a rolex to work doesn't say "I dress nicer than you" it says "I have better taste than you do".

i dont know. If i were the boss, and this guy who works for me wearing a Rolex, i would wonder if i'm overpaying his salary. I would probably reduce his yearly bonus from 3 to 2%.

I know its bogus and wrong, but we're all judgemental, arent we?

If I didn't have such a large watch rotation, I'd wear a Rolex to work every day. But then, my "daily Rolex" is an Explorer II. It doesn't exactly stand out.

Seriously. It was a gift from my company. I've kept if for the sentimental value but I don't really like the DateJust. Or gold. Or diamonds. So I never wear it.

Since most people have no clue as to the name of the watch brand nor how much you paid for it I'm not sure why it would bother you. I wear all of my watches to work, and no one ever comments.

I personally think this is more like a Asian culture. In China, people have more concerns about what their boss/cowokers think about their personal life. Believe it or not, almost every Chinese knows ROLEX. At least, most of people can easily recognize ROLEX in the big cities.

I wear mine everyday since I got it. Nobody even noticed at work.

BTW, my boss wears 50 dollars watch. However, this is his preference. I don't think he cares how I spend my money as long as I do good job at work.

You should evaluate each employee based on their performance, not what they choose to spend their money on. They earned it. Maybe they rode the bus to work every day for a year to be able to afford it... you never know.

This is rediculous. People has right to spend their own money. Some people choose to go to restaurant everyday, others choose to spend all their money on board games, I probably want to spend my money on expensive timepiece. It has nothing to do with the compensation package. I think people's annual bonus is only related to his/her performance and market data.

This afternoon I went to my AD to try on other models. I'm looking at a sub w/o date because I'm not a fan of cyclops.

I want to own a Rolex I would wear more often.
