Thanks for sharing those great photos with us. I have many very fond memories of my trips to Cancun and Cozumel.
It is a very nice island, I enjoy it a lot!

One week prior to our departure to Cancun in 2005, the hurricane came and destroyed the town. The hotel refunded us the money but not Delta Airlines.
Anyway, has Cancun been rebuilt because if it has, we really would like to try to go there again. I love Mexico......a very inexpensive place to enjoy a very wonderful vacation. Wish I could speak Spanish though.

Is it a custom to have guards with automatic weapons at jewelry stores in Mexico? We saw at least 6 armed guards with AR-15s securing every entrance to an upscale jewelry store (which was also a Rolex AD) in Cabos. It was very intimidating.

As a matter of fact, we are back on track and I would say better. There were some old places/hotels that needed major refurbishments; and Wilma tore them apart; so now we have brand new hotels. Everything is 'as usual', and a very nice place (I have a meeting @ Cancun this afternoon, will take some pics for you).

As far as 'security', it depends on the city; Cancun and Cozumel are very easy, Mexico City is the most dangerous city in the country...I think you get the picture.

Thank you for your info. I think we'll book a trip to Cancun and Cozumel for November. By that time, the hurricane season should be over, correct? I hope Wilma did NOT cause you and your loved ones any losses.

Thanks in advance for your pictures of cancun. Love to see them.

Yes, that's what I've heard about Mexico City. There're way too many other nice places to visit in Mexico, so why even bother to go to there (Mexico City)?
