You speak with authority. Is this just what you have heard? Or, is it what you have experienced first-hand? I have personally bought 2 Rolex watches from a TRF seller that had MY NAME AND MY WARRANTY INFO on the card

I don't believe that there would be any issue with me getting warranty work on my Rolex.............Not that I have ever needed warranty work on any of my Rolex watches.

Obviously, this depends who you purchase it from (again, I was referring to "second-hand" (as in previously filled out paperwork.)) Not all watches sold from Non-AD come with blank paperwork. Meaning they have been sold to someone from an AD at a discount who then re-sells it.

In your case then I think you should be fine since the paperwork is in your name and it's listed as being sold from AD (what's listed on the paperwork) even though you may have purchased it directly from a TRF member.

Thank you. Good to know. Just need to get your name on that card.

Arguably more important than your name is that the card have an AD stamp on it. If it doesn't have that, it doesn't matter who's name is on the card.

On grey market internet sites, you read a bunch of stuff about papers and warranty card, but the card you get is completely blank. To many, if not all watch brands, the card means nothing without an AD stamp on it.

That doesn't happen here from everything I've read, but it happens often outside of this forum. Buy the seller not the watch is an old saying I learned long time ago and is echoed here regularly.

Dude. No question. Buy from a good guy here on TRF, save a ton of money on a great watch, go get your wife a nice handbag(if she's into that), take a nice trip, and then take a picture of the grin on your face while wearing your new Rolex.

No other alternative my friend.

He's not interested. It takes a while of being here on the Forums to learn. I bought one from an AD once, so that I could have the instant gratification. It wasn't worth the extra money.

you likely won't get a discount from an AD in a state with no sales tax. I tried in Delaware (although it was via phone). The AD was kind of small, I guess and only had one SS sub in stock anyway, so didn't want to deal. I would call first, but you'll save tax.

I should mention that I live in Upstate NY. NH is not that far of a drive. I've got a nice car that I enjoy driving and a wife I enjoy traveling with. A weekend at the Massachusets shore, perhaps Cape Ann, to go with a new watch is very appealing. My only other problem is going into a jewelry store, with my wife, to shop for me. There is always the potential that this could get more costly than expected.

6-8 hours depending how fast you drive

I bought a Panerai sight unseen from an AD in another state & ended up getting one that was shop worn and a little scratched up for full MSRP. It may be worthwhile to take the trip and see what you are buying.

Just like all buyers are starting to see that AD's are not discounting and if they are its very little so to are all 2nd hand and grey dealers. The supply of cheap watches has gone and dealers cannot replace them at even what they sold for a few months ago on desirable models. I can tell you the forum selling prices on almost all occasions is the same or even cheaper than what dealers sell for and buy at watch shows. The best deals are right in the sales section. Don't take my word for it go to any watch show and see what watches are trading hands for amongst dealers and compare to the forum.

My wife picked mine up while we were visiting her folks for father's day. She got 10% discount and no tax. The kicker is, the AD will have to mail it if there is tax in that state.
The AD let my wife take the watch out of the shop to give to me on fathers day with the understanding we would return on Monday to have it fitted and packaged up to ship to our home address... I hated waiting 5 days to get my watch, but 16% savings was worth the wait.
