My first trip with my GMT2C
I recently went on my first business trip with my GMT2C. I've been waiting for the day (since I bought the watch last month) when I can finally use it for travel and be able to read multiple time zones. It was actually very easy to set because of the hour hand which can be adjusted separately. Reading multiple time zones is also quite easy but it still took me a couple of days to get used to reading the 24 hour format. I always needed to subtract 12 in my mind to get the correct time.
This watch will now be my favorite traveling partner. The PCLs make it formal enough to wear on suits and sporty enough to be worn with shorts. If I should start a collection (still on denial) I think I will stick to GMTs. I've decided to set my GMT hand at Manila time so I will just adjust the hour hand every time I travel. Sharing some pics: 5 hour layover in Dubai: I would love to have this in my house: Walking to a restaurant in Cannes: Unfortunately had to settle for quick lunches because of my tight sked (sandwiches and quiches): I had a couple of nights client-free so my colleagues and I enjoyed the company of Glen and Remy. Pic of my GMT with Remy was a stolen pic. I didn't want my colleagues to see me taking pics of my watch: I know it's a no-no to mix anything with Glen but I was getting light headed already so I had to cool myself down a bit with some ice. My colleagues threw the ice after this round to better appreciate Glen: Some beautiful sights of Cannes: This is the highlight of my trip. Best seafood platter in the world! I went to this restaurant thrice in the week I was there just for this: Cheers, Mau |
