For some reason the DJ2 looks big on you but the GMT2C looks more fit in your hands. I say just use the GMT2 and just keep the DJ2. If you sell your DJ2 you might loose money. No need to go back to DJ1.

Go to the store and take a picture of you with the 36mm of your choice. I will give you my advice when you do that. :)

No doubt you will find both opinions, but ultimately the only person wearing the watch is you. You are clearly uncomfortable with it, otherwise you would not have asked the question.

Keep the DJII Engi. It's a great watch, as is the GMTc. Both look just fine on your wrist.

I love the DJII but I also found it looked slightly too large for me, and I have bigger wrists than you. I think it's the fluted bezel that makes it look larger. A domed bezel DJII would be perfect for me.

Engi, I think the DJ-II looks fine on your wrists and Rolex designed it to be a larger and more modern dress watch than the traditional DJ. I think you are looking at the size of the watch and longing for 36mm. The DJ 36mm is in my opinion the perfect size for a dress watch. I have the opposite issue, I body build and I am 6ft and weigh 240+ lbs and I wear a 36mm DJ to work and it looks perfect, but because of my wrist size I long for the new DJ-II. I guess it depends on if you want to wear the traditional DJ or the more modern and larger DJ-II. I hope you enjoy the watch you choose. I hope this helps.

Probably would be easiest just to gain some weight back and you'll be fine.!

It's largish, but the lugs don't appear to overhang your wrist - so acceptable in my books.

I think that it looks a little big on you. I tried one on and thought it looked to big on me and I wear a sub daily. It's that 1 extra millimeter that pushes it over the edge for me I guess

I don't think it looks big. I think you're well within modern style, and even within timeless style.

I too have a small wrist and had the same problem about a month ago. I was in love with the DJ II before ever trying it. Walked into my AD to pull the trigger on a white DJ II but it was just way too big. I would have bought a white dial 36mm DJ but my ad didn't have any in the oyster, but did try one on in a different color. It fit perfect on my small wrist. It's all up to you, but IMO I think the DJ II is not suited for people with small wrists like me.

I think whatever looks good to you is most important. That being said, I personally think the 36mm would look better.

In my opinion it looks a little big. I would sell and just keep the GMT which looks great, or replace with a DJ 36mm which is a classic size.

You are wearing it too loose, so it draws attention to the thinness of your wrist and making the watch looks bigger and out of proportion to your wrist. That's what I gleaned from your photo, anyway.

Off the subject of watches, congratulations on your weight loss and best wishes on keeping it off. I've been where you are and it's harder than losing it in the first place. Like being an alcoholic who has to have three drinks a day.
Try the 36mm on again and I'm sure you'll make the better choice, and you should have no problem flipping the DJII if you decide it's not the one. |

Based on the pics you provided I think it looks a bit big too. This being said I think your GMT c looks fantastic It is all up to you but I would love to see the pic with the bracelet tightened a bit as you said you did (closed the easy link) as this may make the look completely different.
I for one am not a fan of the 36mm size for men as I also have about a 6.5 inch wrist

I don't think it's too big....but it might be a fraction to low on your wrist.
Looks good....no worries |

So I'm back here with a photobook of my DJII ... ... now with the easylink closed in order to make the bracelet tighter.
I need again your highly valued opinions about the overall look oth the watch on my wrist ... the dilemma if I've to change the DJII for the DJ 36 mm is still here ... Thanks in advance for your help, Ciao Engi P.S. you can see the stickers are still on and they will remain there until I will have decided what to do with it ... |

I think you are hoping everyone thinks its too big for you as you comment on those that say it is too big, maybe convincing yourself to get the DJ 36mm. The best bet is to go to your AD with your DJII on and try a DJ 36mm and see if it looks better. My own view is it looks ok on you.

Seems a little big on your wrist, but if you like it that's all that matters. Besides, big watches are in right now...
