The biggest watch I have is my Speedmaster 145.022. I think it's a 42MM. I'm hardly a small guy and I thing the watch looks big on me. I like thin watches when wearing a suit because it slips under my cuff and only I know it's there. I see alot of pictures of people wearlg watches so big that it looks like the watch is wearing them. But, in the end it's still about personal choice.

Which models are you referring to in Rolex? DSSD? I'm sure those owners would like to know?

Thin is one thing...but the diameter?

Are we going back to thin and small or is it still thin but big?

I think thin is "in" now and has always been "in" for dress wear..

But I think for casual and less formal wear, chunky is still "in" ..that's why some of us have several watches, 1 for each purpose.

IMHO the rolex sports models (40-42mm) are probably sized just right for versatility if one just wants to have 1 watch

Good example is the Jaeger Master Ultra Thin Moon 39...pretty amazing how they can cram a moonphase and date wheel into such a thin watch (I think its something like 4 or 6 mm thick). Probably a little too thin for my taste, but impressive nonetheless.

It's only this season that things have started to get thinner but it's something I welcome.

My weekend watch is a Panerai and I wear a big 49mm Oris diver at the gym but my work watches are much smaller.

I've spent the last week wearing a 31mm watch and I absolutely love it. Putting on a 38mm watch this morning I was struck by how ostentatious and obvious the watch was, not exactly subtle at all.

Since a style industry that doesn't change can't force new purchases annually, I have a 100% certainty that if big watches go out of fashion, they will come back in. They'll wait just long enough that you sold them all off, though.

That is as ridiculous as saying people who buy small watches are trying to make their hands appear larger by comparison.

This is great news & timing considering my latest acquisition. I have to say, at 9.5mm it's amazing and makes a world of difference on the wrist.

It's about time that the flavor flave watches are going to disappear. I guess Invicta will go out of business.

Who cares about trends? Never going to stop wearing my Pam ! For those who don't like thick, oversize watches , that is your choice and I respect that! Why be a follower? I buy what I like and wear it proudly! I am not going to be swayed by some magazine telling me what I should wear ... Be individuals!

Trends? Fashions? PAH!

Love to feel i'm wearing a watch. Sub-c, Milgauss, Datejusts. Just the right size and weight.

But it's all up to the individual I guess.

In or not, I NEED this watch, has been at the top of my list since the first time I saw it.
