Rotten news Matt - hope all the offers so far are to your liking.
I live in a cardboard box underneath Charing Cross bridge - so, no good really. |

where do your grandparents live? can she go to their house when they come over? play the whole "our house is too small....twins are on the way.....grandparents will be here....mayhem.....it would be really better for you to go there: more peace & quiet to get back on track".....
and maybe your grandparents can suggest it'd be really cool if she can house sit their place..... good luck! |

Her name isn't Parvati, is it? (Janice from the Sopranos).
Unfortunately, you have a completely self-absorbed person on your hands, which is a real problem that won't resolve without your active attention to it. She is not sensitive to your own dynamic and needs, which should be patently obvious at this time. To impose on you in this open-ended way is what suits her, without any thought of what suits her kind hosts. You're going to have to man up and create a true drop-deadline for her being there. And when that is is entirely your call. |

Seriously. They were just talking about that on the news this morning - stress in the home or re home situation leading to birthing problems.

35, single, quit job, moved across the country, living with family??? Maybe she is clinically depressed [lack of consideration for others is fairly typical for people with this condition]. Acknowledging what might be going on might be painful, but could provide a way out of the situation for you and your sister.

Sorry, I already adopted my best friend of 25 years. He got divorced, had no car... at least he has a job. He pays rent. Not enough to cover his own power/water consumption.
If you could provide a place for him at your home, I would gladly let you move into the spare room. |

Sorry Matt I can adopt you because I already have Paul. I'm sure you are a nice man but I have to pass.
Do you have a sister? I hope things works out for you my friend.

Still can't believe this thread is about to pass 50 posts with no pics of the sis. Posting some up will improve the chances of folks here being willing to take her off your hands!!
But seriously, good luck with the come to Jesus talk. Keep us posted of how that works out.

Dude... You're seriously letting this go down while your wife is almost due? Boundaries.

Yes....boundaries. Guaranteed your wife is watching you play this game from the sidelines. Take my advise, just because a man's wife doesn't immediately chime in doesn't mean she's not interested in how your playing the game. Be careful; your treading on thin ice my friend

Be as courteous and accommodating to your sister as is humanly possible and offer to help until after the holidays, but in return, she must keep herself busy tending to the housework, the grocery shopping, every need of your wife.
Her sleeping arrangements and privacy may be tenuous, as she simply dropped in, and your other family members have been expected for some time and will have the better accommodations. I tend to think that such an arrangement will make her presence most desirable or she will head for greener pastures, if you will.

Boy, I hope the lack of updates from the OP means he's been busy moving his sis out of his house into her own place!!
