I agree he has a passion for the game and is very aggressive which is also needed to play professional football in America and be successful. But he loses control of his emotions and must learn discipline and self control to become a better and complete player. Right now he is definitely not a role model for younger children!!!

I know that when a player gives it his all between the whistle it is not a big deal.

When you push another players head multiple times into the ground, then stomp his arm after the whistle, he is a dirty player. I get the testosterone thing. But that does not apply after the whistle, Not on national TV on Thanksgiving. Sorry Suh, You should be banned for 4 games in my opinion.

The particular play is was suspended for was dirty. But Detroit has been the worst team in the NFL for decades. While I don't condone this kind of play, it's not a bad thing for opponents to fear them and him. They are finally starting to have some success, he needs to start being smart and stop costing his team with 8 personal fouls.

My exact thoughts. I'm a huge fan of Suh, and I knew he had that kind of energy coming from college. I just wish he would keep his emotions in check. He isn't a bad guy at all in person.

I am not a fan of a guy who stomps on people with a motive to injure. Or inflict pain.

Agreed, but he fits right in with the Lions, they're a dirty team.

Fear him because he'll stomp you after the whistle?

I understand that adrenaline can get the better of anybody, but this isnt exactly an isolated incident for this goon.

The same and worse antics have been going on in the NFL since its inception, I don't see why there is such an outrage over Suhs play.

Hopefully this will make him rain in his temper and learn to control his emotions. If he doesnt learn that being a pro athlete is more than just being talented he may very well be done in the nfl. He should be suspended for the rest of the regular season IMHO

Because there wasn't Sportscenter, YouTube, etc. since the inception of the NFL. That and Suh was bright enough to do it on Thanksgiving Day when most every football fan and casual viewer was tuned in.........

More that he is playing a huge part in changing the attitude of the once punchline Lions into a team that will get the attention of it's opponents. Again, after the whistle stuff can go but I love the raw edge he plays with-Lyle Alzado, Joe Green, Jack Lambert-it's football.

To me Cortland Finnegan is the worst.

Check this out from last year:

But guess who # 3 and # 1 are...STEELERS.

It's more than just "he lost his temper". He's been a problem all year. Let's hope this suspension gets his attention. I'm not sure it will. I think he's a child (mentally) in a man's body. I don't know if he has the ability to control himself.

I've watched a series of his infractions and the infraction that got him ejected and suspended.

The man lacks self-control at the very least.

I cannot believe that he has was given only a two-game suspension.

Does he have to needlessly end a quarterback's career, before the league will suspend him for a season?

If I were the commissioner and if Suh roughed one more quarterback, I'd fine his butt to the max and he's out for the season.

This behavior is purposeful, it's unsportsmanlike, and it could be criminal under the right circumstances.

There are no excuses, at least from my view.

I just watched the post game interview and on top of it all, he's a liar, even in the face of the footage.

I was actually watching this game at a restaurant on a TV with bad reception and I do remember these incidents now that I've watched them again.

I thought the infraction was egregious at the time, but having watched it again without random pixilations and interrupted signals, it's even worse.

He is an idiot, but there are far less talented players in the league that do worse things than him and receive almost no attention.

Everyone here is pretty adamant that Ndamukong Suh is out to hurt people. And it stands to reason that a man of his skill, size, and strength should have no problem hurting people if that's what he wants to do. So how many players has he injured so far? The guy he stomped on, is he permanently injured or did he get up and play the very next play? Where are Suh's victims? Someone please show me where an NFL player has missed time as a result of Suh's play. There's gotta be a few, right? Just a few weeks ago an NFL player kicked a guy right in the testicles, let's start a thread about that and question that guy's character.

The guy needs a wake-up call, but to say this thread is full of hyperbole would be an understatement. I guess people love having a villain.

Kareem

Do you understand the concept of sportsmanship?

Does anyone?

Do the rules and regulations mean nothing, as long as no one is killed or maimed for life?

Thank you.

I was beginning to wonder.

I do agree that character assassination is not necessary.

There is quite enough to discuss relative to behavior and the sport without getting into areas we may not understand or that are immaterial to the situation at hand.
