I love the look of Pam's but I also love daytonas. However, I would not trade a Daytona for any Pam. But as was said above; if it gets no wrist time it is time to get rid of it!

U only get one go around so follow your gut. IMHO I believe they are two totally different monsters. Take your day to day dress style into account. Which would give you the most versatility?

I would never at this moment in time but I have not learned to appreciate Panerai. If that changes, then I might if that's what makes me happy

No I would not, I much prefer the Daytona. But if you don't wear the Daytona anyway why not.

x1,000,000. don't see how there can be any other answer.... a couple things to consider about the 106.....this model came with a bracelet. if you think you will want to switch to straps mostly, there's not much point in paying extra for the bracelet (bracelet models cost more). if what you particularly like about the 106 is the anthracite dial and titanium, you could also look into the 89. (but, if you want a sub, then, i think, 106 is the only way to go.) as a limited production model (two years about a decade ago) + titanium + anthracite dial, the amount of buyers should you decide to re-sell might be a bit limited. then again, i would think the price on the 106 would have bottomed out by now....(i'm no expert on that type of thing, though. ) lastly, and you probably are fully aware so just ignore, but, the watch will be about a decade old, so, check on the service history. good luck with the choice! |

Could you buy the pam first......wear it then decide? I would not do the deal in a trade, unless the price was strongly in your favor. Although the TT Daytona does not have the same desirability as a SS model. I think you are right to seek a watch you would wear more. Divers are imho much more practical for day to Day.

I went from a Pam 233 to Daytona, found Daytona to be much more versatile
