I've been comparing the pictures very, very closely to mine, and I see some slight differences that concern me. Mine I know is real, but I'm not 100% sure the one in the pictures is, though I have nowhere near as good an eye for detecting fakes as many others on the forum do.
My main complaints: 1. The crystal doesn't seem near green enough, though it may be the lighting, but I can't get mine to look as black as the top two pictures no matter what lighting I use. This one looks more like the black Milgauss in those two pix. 2. Seventh picture down: tolerances seem off. My bracelet is much more snug, fewer gaps, end pieces fit closer to the lugs. 3. Second to last picture: the crown seems off, and the brushing looks off on the links. The brushing on mine is much more subtle, while this looks more along lines of my Explorer II, which is really brushed, if you know what I mean. Finally the spikes and balls on the crown on mine look distinctly sharper than the one in the picture, which has a "more stamped" look, if that makes sense. Finally, something about those center links makes them look like they're not solid either, but there's not a single, really good side shot to make a good judgement on that. It's all very subtle, I know, and I respect others' view on these things far more than my own opinion, but if all GVs are alike, I'm not sold by the pictures alone that this is a real Rolex. Mine, which I know is real, looks better to me than the one in the pictures. Having said all that, someone's going to come out and say the pictures were stolen, and they're of a real Milgauss, but hey, if that happens I'll still say mine still looks better. |

I had two contacts with this scumbag. I noticed immediatly he only had 18 posts and took a look....they were all from the prior day. Asked him for references, proof he actually had the watch, proof of ownership, etc. He told me "I have all that but I just sold it!"
The next day he cancelled the original post and reposted it.....at $100 less. I just happened to be online when he put the new ad up and was the first to view it. I asked him "what happened to the first deal" and if he could send me the picture of his username/date and the watch. Of course he responded, "I will take pictures and proof of ownership and sent it to you tomorrow...." Of course I never heard back and emailed Stevo Seemed like an pretty obvious scam to me, but I wanted to make sure no one fell for it. What a pathetic loser, thanks for banning him mods!! |

Heads Up
He's still on Kijiji trying to "sell" this. Emailed him today - put an offer no one in their right mind would refuse...interesting to see why he'll find a reason to say no to it...
