I use my AP Safari chrono more often as you dont have to unscrew the pushers. Usually I just need the timing for a short amount of time so I just check the second hand dial

Even though I know the Daytona dial is busy and hard to read (especially with my eyes in the morning), and I'll never use the chronometer, and could use the 2nd or 3rd timezone as I travel a lot, and need a date as I'm forgetful, I find myself still strangely drawn to the SS Daytona.
For those of you who just love to wear yours and say it's your favorite watch, I'd love to hear why ... other than others gawk at you and can be overheard saying things like, "I've never actually seen one of those in the wild!" I'm serious as I am about to embark on yet another $10k+ experience here and would really like NOT to flip this one. |

I agree and I like the history of the piece. Every now and then I use it for various things.

I bought my two Daytonas because I like the look of them, if I have to use a stop watch I use a different watch. |

Just about weekly. That's why I own 3 chronograph watches.

Use my black dial SS Daytona chrono function a few times a day. It took a couple of weeks to get use to the challenges of reading the sub dials, but am now very happy with the Daytona and even enjoy using the screws on the buttons.
After living with a Speedmaster Pro and Submariner for many many years, I have no regrets purchasing the Daytona. I have to force myself to take it off and rotate my other watches, and when I do they never last more than a day or two. |

dont own a daytona but would love to add on some day.
i do have a few chronos and its hit or miss how much i use them. at times it can come in handy for cooking or seeing how long my wife takes to get ready. but there are other times i could go weeks without use the chrono. i do try to let the chrono run once a month for a full 24 hours just so everything stays lubricated. edit- @tkerrmd, dude that daytona is siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick! very nice my friend |

Having a chrono function on your timepiece is like having a formula 1 style V10 in your BMW M6, you may never use it to its full potential... but that almost misses the point of owning something superbly designed in the first place...

Played with it a couple of times and that's about it
I just think it looks fantastic and I still find myself gazing at its beauty three years later...smitten

Very infrequently. Mostly just to watch the large sweeping hand when bored!

I use quite often. During sports competitions, I only need the seconds hand for 2-3 minutes timing.
