From the photos blind Freddie could find the replica site and this whole thread seem to me like an advertisement for fakes. Saying how remarkably cheap they are is just a further advertisement.
I'm not very happy about this whole thread it just looks like a big advert for fakes (whether unintended or otherwise).

Steve,

Just remove the original photo... that way there's no way to determine the originating site.

Best,

Vernon

Yeap i weigh it and it was the same with the genuine watch. it sounds scary but when i opened the back i immediately recognised the ETA movement. ETA movements are going to be disconutinued in a couple of years. I am just curious to see what kind of movements are they going to use. ETA are the most reliable nowadays for replica watches. In my country it is full of replicas and most of them have very low quality. I found some good replicas but it's not worth to buy a fake thing. It's better to save your money and buy a masterpiece of engineering and design

I think the ceramic bezel will be the real challenge for the counterfeiters. There is something about it that is just difficult to describe and thus to duplicate this with a non ceramic bezel will be difficult.

That being said, the average ‘folex buyer’ is unlikely to have actually seen, let alone handled a real Rolex, so a poor ‘metallic’ reproduction of a ceramic bezel will probably be enough to guarantee a healthy trade in these reproductions.

I am not a watch or ETA expert......but the company that makes these ETA movements........are they not knowingly participating in the illegal activities with these counterfeit watches? Do they sell these movements to Asian guys that pull up with a truck at their warehouse?
These ETA movements have been around for a long time. If it would be difficult to get them, it might make the counterfeiting business more difficult.

Impose stricter rules on them(the company) and presto you might find the illegal market declining.

But the fact Rolex does not go after these guys(ETA people) I kind of shows that they really dont care about counterfeiters's.
Even with all their ROLEXROLEXROLEX and Cermaic bezels....and all that other anti counterfeiting measures that they have taken.

just my $0.02...

It seems that the counterfeiters have started to imitate the Valjoux 7750 by making an "asian" copy. It is unreliable in terms of robustness, replica buyers are still going for it.

You're welcome!

Looks like ETA is trying to get a stranglehold on the watch market.

I hope no one minds, but I removed all the posts that contained a link to the folex site. We don't condone those sites here, and rather than try to surgically remove the references, I thought it easier to just remove those posts.

Not a problem, Velitsko. I know you posted in good faith, but we just don't like to give any credibility to fakes.

It helps to understand how good the fakes are. If it saves one person from being taken advantage of a service is done.
