LOL. I don't think that you're going to find anyone willing to talk you off of this ledge...

Hi I have just sold the first Omega Planet Ocean privately, transfer of funds tonight if this happens the others are going to one home (if I decide to go all the way).. Meteorite Speedmaster, Aqua terra Olympic SE, Constellation, and
Deville Chronoscope. I will be keeping the others if the deal happens. |

I wouldnt do it. I am not just talking, I had the wg sub but eventually I sold it. It is very sensitive to scratches even if you wear it carefully it will look "used and battered" after short time. Additionaly, I got tired of the smurf blue very soon. On photos and in the shop (with strong spotlights) the blue bezel looks nice but under many lighting conditions it just looks cheap like plastic. It didnt look nice with many clothings because this blue is not a dark deep blue. Please dont accept the view of those people that never had that particular watch. It is very easy to say "go for it". I would rather go for the LV ceramic sub.

I would have to purchase a pre-owned DayDate II or Gold Daytona before I purchased the WG Sub. It is a great looking watch but for the money there are alot of options which could be purchased right and if you decided to change up and sell or trade could help with that move. Also, if you gave it just a few more years I believe the WG Sub could be had in the second hand market for significantly less than now, but that is just my opinion.

Personally, even IF I had the money I wouldn't drop 15 or so large on a "new" Rolex...vintage is another story. You can always buy later when funds allow and not sell your Omegas RAZZ |

I tried one a couple of months ago at my AD. It is heavy and my first impression that still holds was that I definitely seriously really really want it.
If I had 20-25k$ to spare I would get it myself immediately, but I would probably not sell stuff to get it. |
