Its just a homage not a exact copy it has flat 4 fonts and ceramic keys plus it will be branded TRF RCC Machine.

Not enough room in the case anyway smoking is bad for your health.

It would seem to me that in a group of Rolex enthusiasts and some fanatics that the mystery behind the new alphanumeric system is going to fascinate some folks and be mildly interesting to others.

During one of my anthropology classes, during a discussion of what makes humans humans, and after weeks of listening to the various categories of hominids discovered through the decades, it occurred to me that it must be at least in part that man is an animal that categorizes and the evidence for that is apparent in every academic field.

Posing such a challenge to those who are so smitten with the brand is an open invitation to explore the problem to find answers to the ostensibly unanswerable.

Ultimately, it may be a pointless endeavor and the answer if ever found may offer even more questions, but we besides being WISes are also homo sapiens and like those who jump out of airplanes, fly into space, and conquer the heights, breadth, and depths of the planet will always be egged on by a mystery and a challenge.

Funny, as I recognized that as well as an Enigma machine from WW2 as shown on an HBO special in 1980. I was 10 when I watched that HBO special!

Yes they were very clever guys at Bletchley Park and cracking the German Enigma code did shorten WW11. And in those days far more important than cracking some Random code from Rolex.

Because it exists and because people like a challenge there will always be those who will try to figure out if there is some kind of sequence.

In another words there will be many more threads on this forum discussing this very same thing.

It would be interesting to gather a long list of the new numbers and see what, if anything, could be made of them.

It's unfortunate that for asking a legitimate question about an identifying mark on these watches you're being openly mocked - by a moderator no less.

No one to my knowledge has figured out the first thing about the new numbers - including whether or not they are "random." Proving randomness is not trivial.

Lighten up...humor is a good thing. As for figuring random codes and trying to crack them- plain silliness IMHO and worthy of the face palm. However if that is how people choose to spend their time -so be it- have at it!

You can't begin to know if they're "random" unless you've extensively researched them - and maybe not even then.

The problem is that threads like this one are conversation-stoppers. Analyzing the codes may turn out to be fruitless but it's no sillier than any of the other Rolex arcana discussed here.

I have to agree with you on that. It is certainly better than and not as silly as the can I swim with it, shower with it, sleep with it, take stickers off etc. etc.  Still nothing wrong with humor and like the others threads like this will bring the humor in which is part of TRF.
