I agree with the majority here, Roberto. Posts about Foilexes can be very helpful to novices and can help them avoid the pitfalls that often await the unwary. What we as mods try to do is to keep links to Folex sites off the forum. We don't want to advertise or promote fakes. It's a reality that they are out there, but we don't have to make it easy for people to find them. And we don't want trolls here who promote those places.

I wouldn't mind a folex forum, that way if you are in the market and want to learn that is the place. Otherwise the folex stuff will wither on the vine and leave.

Although I sometimes get tired of fake Rolex discussion, it does serve a community service. Those threads/posts with a quick scan can either be ignored or utilised.
However, this isn't the Folex Forums and I would find the addition of a Fake Rolex Sub-Forum out of character. I would hate this site to become known as the Folex Forums.
So whilst fakes can have some limited useful discussion, devoting an entire sub-forum to fakes is not what I would hope people would come to this site to see and/or discuss.

But Al, you're obviously much smarter than the average bear, not to mention the average seeker of a Rolex on eBay.

Dang fine collection, btw.

Maybe there should be a section for Folex watches. I dont think Folex watches are put here for the Padi's, Cj's, Mike's, JJ...etc on this forum. Many new people who are drawn to the Rolex world and want to buy and just lurk on the forum will benefit.
I have posted threads about Folex in the Rolex section, but I feel it is inappropriate because they are not the real deal and dont belong, but where else on the forum.

Many of the threads are very educational, and coming from an instructional background, to teach you must repeat the same thing over and over and over again.....
Anybody who has kids understands this.

i think these have a place as a public service to those who may be doing their research online like me when i found this site

and for those doing research they deserve to at least know whether theyre buying something genuine or fake.

Agreed in spades, Al!!!

ALL of my Rollies were purchased on eBay. All are authentic and pristine!

The terms "eBay" and "Folex" are NOT synonymous. I don't know how many times I have to say that, but I will keep saying it as long as it does take.
