I think you already have THE model. Make sure you're making the right choice.

I like the idea of contacting one of the "higher volume" TRF sellers and see if they will do some sort of trade for you.

I would much rather have your model with the ability to swap bezel inserts which it seems like you've already received with your purchase. Definitely agree with Transcon's advice above in wearing your current purchase for a while until you know for sure what's best for you.

Hey bro, have you tried on the 116710 GMT II-C yet? I'd try one on before making your decision.
But, it sounds like you want the newer GMT, so sell yours first then get the newer one, but for me, I would wear yours for a month or so before making a decision or you will become a chronic flipper and that is an expensive disease. |

The GMTIIC is a really great watch in my opinion. However the GMTII is as well and it has so many different options I really wouldn't consider this a trade up.
But if you decide to trade instead of trying to sell I think you would do better to do it with one of the trusted sellers here.

I just recently bought the ceramic. Best thing I ever did. IMHO there is not a better rolex for everyday where right now than the GMTIIc

I have the iic but I often look at the bezel options of the older models and think I'd like one of those.... It's common situation my friend.
I'd keep it of I were you. Ryan |

I'd hold on to the 16710 and save up for the ceramic. You might regret later.
Good luck! |

Best option is selling privately and buying from a trusted seller...

In one of your first posts, didn't you say that (GMTII C) was the watch you wanted. You said your budget didn't allow for it. Then you added to the budget and found your current watch... my point is, as nice as these watches are and as intoxicating as TRF is, you will always want more. You will always want what someone else has. I know because I did the same thing. I wanted a Rolex and bought a DJ. Wore it for a year and a half. But I really wanted a Sub or GMT when I bought my DJ. So a lot of money spent later, I have my Sub and no DJ. In the end you will get what you want. But be sure you get what you really want because you will always want for your grail watch. Seeing everyone's pics of what they have doesn't help either... just makes you want it more. Not that it matters, but slow down and enjoy what you have. Current models will be here for a long time. Don't lose more money to find out that you will miss the watch you already have. It is a beautiful watch.

Sure you could sell it. Add some money and get the GMT-c. What you can't do is to trade up a GMT2 to a GMT2-c. It is impossible IMO.

These rOlexes are addicting.. I got a dj a year ago and a subc last month..
My next watch will be yours x-hype.. Keep the watch if you go ceramic just save for a year or more and get the sub-c.. Better bracelet they the gmtc and different.. Also with the gmtc you will not be able to switch it up with the bezels.. |

I honestly didn't know you loose money by flipping that's somthing I think I have to reconsider, I'll keep my 16710 and start saving for a ceramic. That's why I love you guys, thanks for the advice please don't tell my girlfriend.

It's always better to suffer and save to get the watch you really want vs settling.
