I think a white dial would complement your collection. I prefer the white dial on the 16570 and the black dial on the 216570

I vote for 16570 in polar dial and 216570 in black dial. The new white dial on the 42 mm doesn't look good on my wrist. Just my .02 cents. You have a fabulous collection, and either is a wonderful addition.

IMO, in light of your current collection (which is great by the way!) you should go with the white.

Chris, I agree with you on most things but I'm just the opposite on this.

I loved the glossy black enameled dial of my 16570 and the way it contrasted with the markers but the flat black of the 42mm dial was underwhelming.

The boldness and legibility of the white 42 won out for me.

Guys thank you for your comments...

I love black dials but for the new explorer I didn't like shiny/matt finish of the hands/dial respectively...it causes me to be distracted somewhat...

Regardless of the other watches in the collection, I simply prefer the black dial ExpII42 in person. I love the Phantom hand effect and the visual tie-in to the 1655. I am very very happy with it...
