Contemplating a Rolex SubC No Date for daily wear
About a year ago, I was looking into getting a Rolex GMT IIC, but I eventually ended up getting a Vacheron Constantin Overseas instead. More recently, I purchased a Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Duo.
Together, these two watches fill the dressy sports watch and dress watch categories in my collection, and I'm now contemplating my next watch purchase, intended for daily wear, and the upcoming Rolex SubC No Date looks particularly appealing. Since my JLC Grande Reverso Duo has a dual timezone complication, the GMT complication on the GMT IIC is less compelling to me, and the polished center links always struck me as a bit too dressy and high-maintenance for daily wear. Between the SubC Date and SubC No Date, I find the No Date to have a much cleaner dial, and I prefer not having the protruding cyclops. All in all, the SubC No Date seems (to me) like the perfect Rolex for daily use. Does anyone feel that way, and would that be a good watch to round off my collection of high-end/luxury watches?
