Thanks guys! Dino, youre one of very few souls in the world that could call the ym2 "understated." You rock my world!

Next will be a WG Sub or perhaps a RG ceramic daytona. I also like the new skydweller but feel it is in the wrong price bracket. Yes, I need a new watch box, but that is a good problem to have. |

Don't get me wrong, she is obviously an eyecatcher, but in WG it flys under the radar just a little easier.. I'll get my coat now..

It is understated compared to the YG version. The YM2 is one of those watches that looks odd in photos, but is absolutely brilliant in person. When you were wearing that watch, it was totally you!

So sorry to hear about your mugging, it happened to my brother a few years ago in NYC, simply awful. Love the collection. Any thoughts on an all YG model? Maybe a GMT?

Amazing collection - love your choices..each piece makes sense to me, and they seem to compliment eachother...I hope they all still get wrist time.
I find it so therapeutic to see another 'Hoarder'... I hope you don't mind, but I will be showing this thread to my wife as defense of my condition... my argument will be - " look, I'm not as bad as this Zed Homme guy.." Seriously though - to see that YMII in the Family portrait - left me speechless - it's one of those collections where the total is greater than the sum of its parts... - Also don't want to beleaguer the issue of the GMT - but also don't want to dismiss it... I hate hearing about things like that - You seem to have such a strong attitude of being grateful for non being more seriously injured and I think that your attitude is what makes you better, and has resulted in the success of your life that is partly represented by your watches.. You've inspired me twice in one single thread! |

Thanks everyone!
I bought the datejust about ten years ago and have been building the rolex collection ever since. There have been a couple of watches that I've flipped along the way, but generally I'm a hoarder. Like I said earlier, I had the gmt stolen from me. I ran out to CVS near my apt at night, and on the walk home, three guys got behind me and threw me on the curb. They then started kicking me till I threw my wallet at them. They stopped and also took my gmt and cell phone. This was two blocks from my apt. I walked to the central police station (6 blocks from my apt) and filed a report and got my injuries treated. Unfortunately, the police has found nothing on any security cameras. I got my report and filed my claim with the ins co. I had some serious bruises and couldnt hear out of my right ear for a few days, but in the grand scheme of things, I am incredibly lucky. It happened on the last night that I lived in a place that has brought me nothing but misery. I know people love Tampa but getting out of there was the best thing I ever did in my life. |

Thanks for posting your lovely collection.
Just wonder whether you are going to buy another watchcase as the current one is full? |

What a beautiful collection of Rolex watches!!
I'm really sorry to hear your GMT and being jumped...it's really sad that there are people like that in this world. Where in Tampa did you live? I lived in the Brandon area for a couple of years...it was ok, but I certainly don't miss it. |

Chris... So sorry to hear of the mugging my friend. That's an awful experience to have had. Glad you came out of it relatively ok. Hope those a-holes get what's coming to them sooner rather than later.
An awesome rolex collection !!! I look forward to seeing what you have gracing your wrist the next time we meet :)

Wow! Wasn't sure if I was looking at a collection or a catalogue! You certainly have a mightily impressive array of timepieces.
Sorry to hear about your terrible experience when you were robbed. |
