Hey Rolexman,

Well, I've owned 3 Subs ( still have an old one, but it's currently on my brothers wrist in Thailand ), 1 Sea Dweller, 1 DeepSea, 1 Exp 2 Polar, and 1 Exp 2 black. The DeepSea aside, all of the black face watches, and this is my opinion, look kind of standard. I mean, from 20 feet away, most black face dive watches in that style, whether they are Rolex's, or Omega's, etc, look sort of similar. The me, the white face just stands out. Not even other white face dive watches have the " X factor" that his one has. With the update in size and orange hand, it's now the perfect Rolex to me.

I absolutely love it.

I like the white dial Explorer more and it appears more legible checking time on the fly.

Congrats!

I can't speak for David but I went with the white because of the legibility and extra lume area of the hands. The hands of the black version are too stubby looking.

But black or white, the 216570 is awesome and David's dial photo has inspired me to change over to my polar for the rest of the day.

Congratulations, David.

Big congrats!! Excellent choice and, IMHO, if you had to move the DSSD to make this happen, it was a good move..

It's raining Explorer IIs around here lately.

Thanks Fr. John!!

Yes, the legibility is a huge reason. The black enamel is very bold against the background.... and the lume looks really nice.

I did have to. And I did love that watch, wore it every day for 3 years. This one still feels a little weird because it sits so much flatter, but that weirdness is going away every minute.

I know you guys all know how big the DeepSea is, but every time I see this pic of me ( my girlfriend has it on her iPad home screen! ), I realize how truly " present" it is, or was ;)

It makes sense that you have several watches & they are all black dials, so a nice white one would be the way to go........congrats & enjoy!

Oh, a watch. I thought it was going to be a puppy. Just kidding, it's a great EXP II. I hope you'll enjoy it for years.

Don't worry, my wife doesn't get my humor either.
