Watch: SS Daytona - BLACK
Posts: 2,261
I've tried to upload pictures...however, it doesnt seem to be working for some reason.

The watch that appeals to me the most! and the order in which I plan on owning them all! Hopefully the first 2 before I turn 30, and the third one before 35. And the last two watches, sometime in this life time!....but realistically willing to settle for the 5205 LOL

However, out of the watches that I own.....I really miss my SS daytona....left safe at home before starting my master's program.

1) Audemars Piguet - Royal Oak Chronograph
2) Audemars Piguet - Royal Oak Openworked
3) Patek Philippe - Nautilus 5726 Annual Calendar
4) Patek Philippe - Annual Calendar Tourbillon Ref 5207 R
5) Patek Philippe - Triple Complication Ref. 5208P

I'm in deep love with the 5208P! It makes me want a single pusher chronograph so much.

That's Ok.

Platinum and Patek is real special. It's Platinum and you get that little diamond between you and the watch.

Very nice, Don.

The Patek looks great, but so does that DJ. The gold DJ on leather goes together real well.

In all honesty I'd love a specific Patek which would be in yellow gold with a chronograph, a moonphase and an annual calendar. Unfortunately it seems like it's only available in older models and they don't have a current model with such specifications (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).
I really like that Patek, stunning retro look, two registers and no date. Just what a dress chronograph should feature

Here is a watch in yellow gold that you might like, although it isn't Patek Philippe.

That Vacheron does look very nice.

I really like the Franck Muller King Conquistador Cortez, but I'm debating on these two styles:

or

the price point is around the same on both pieces, but for some reason I think there is more value for the black & white diamond one (they are both around $34k)

I have definitely not been at this as long as most others here. This, combined with my gross underestimation of how much pleasure, satisfaction and joy this pastime would bring me has me running a somewhat accelerated plan to make up for lost time.

I thought there would be several nice watches in the near term to keep me satisfactorily breathless, but have decided that I'm going to just go for the watch that has defeated all comers in my desirability department, IMO of course...

My problem is that I have yet to see one in person, and we all know how that always changes the perception and opinion, sometimes for the better, sometimes not.

So, courtesy of my excellent AD, today I'm going to see it for the 1st time...

More later!

I knew it Ken, I knew you would have at least one which you did not have that you realy got excited about.

I think it's not that we can't be happy with what we have, as much as it is that there is so much a passion and desire for horology and that there are so many real nice examples out there.

I also knew with your taste it would be something pretty awesome.
