Coke is indeed available in the first issue of the GMT Master ref 6542. Bakelite bezel. And the first GMT II model was available only in Coke. AKA fat lady / Sophia Loren.

My fave is the classic 'pepsi', but as others have said it's easy to swap inserts for a different look...

I am actually looking around to buy the GMT 16710 Coke/Black colour to start with .... i saw some posts mentioning the jubilee bracelet ...
1. Can somebody describe what is the difference between the older style jubilee and the super jubilee style? 2. I was able find that the new one doesn't have a clasp, but how about comfort of wearing wise ? Is the jubilee (both versions) more comfortable from oyster? 3. Which jubilee is more comfortable to wear?(old or super) 4. If I have oyster and jubilee bracelets can i swap and install them myself on the GMT 16710 ? 5. I have a relatively small hand, so would this be an important factor in selecting which jubilee bracelet version is better for me (old or super) ? Thanks guys ! |

I honestly couldn't tell you to get one over the other. I love both and couldn't choose. My best answer is to get both!

I am very interested in the GM II coke bezel on a jubilee bracelet. I had a couple questions as I am still relatively new to the history of this watch.
1. Was it ever produced by Rolex on the jubilee bracelet or is it just an alternative that took hold? If it indeed was, when was this discontinued in favor of the oyster? 2. Is it possible to find this watch with a coke or pepsi bezel brand new in box from an AD? 3. What, if any, price difference exists between the rootbeer bezel versus the coke/pepsi? Sorry if any of these questions are obvious or answered elsewhere. I tend to buy watches as tool pieces and only look into the models I feel fit for me. I love my Navitimer but I have recently become interest in a second flight watch. |

#1- The jubilee bracelet was an optional bracelet for the GMT. Not sure when that started but I think it continued until the end of the release of the 16170.
#2- Not sure you'll be able to find a new one since the 16170 was discontinued some years ago. 3- Don't know, sorry. dP

The Pepsi is the most classic. Like others have said though, pop for the other bezels and bracelet and you've got the inspector gadget of watches.
