Looks the same as the Rolex site. Maybe you are thinking of the white dial version?

Hands are black lacquered on the WHITE DIAL 216570...on the black dial, only the bases are, as you note. That creates the so-called "Phantom" effect that is meant to loosely pay tribute to the 1655 Freccione Explorer II from the 70s.
