I must agree:

Firstly - the England try at the start of the second half was extremely close and probably deserved at that stage.

Secondly - modern rugby has become much less of a spectacle. The changes to the laws in the last ten years have definitely reduced the spectator enjoyment.

Not sure about all the stuff that has gone on but

From a Pom, hats off to the Boks, the only unbeaten team and a well won victory. They beat England at their own game.

Well Done. I am sure there are many sore heads in SA right now

Ok it might have been boring if you were looking for a free flowing game with lots of tries, but this was the WC final. Argentina provided the flare in the 3rd vs 4th game.

The best part about the final was the way the Boks beat England at their own game. Sure it was dour and grinding but it was also classic, the way the Boks took the England scrum apart in the line out and the loose was great. As an ex-forward I loved every minute, only problem was the Boks won!!

And Warped, Yes you are the Champions!! Enjoy the moment.

I commented on this fellows behaviour a few months ago, I really did not like the racist overtones.
I have missed being on the forum and all the great folks who are on it, Kansivet, JJ, roadcarver and flyjet to name a few.
To the moderators I conversed with if my tone was offensive at the time then please I hope you will accept my appologies. there is no place for rudeness no matter how upset I was at the time of the remarks by the banned member made.
Now he is not here would it be ok to rejoin in the fun of the forum.

No dramas, Ian. I have to admit that I was dismayed by your claim at the time that we supported racism, which we most certainly do not. We just give people plenty of rope to hang themselves with.

Very Sorry to see Blue Bull leave if he does. Always very fine posting and a well valued forum member. Lots of truth in his post, especially concerning the truth about the past, present and future of South Africa. I hope and pray the best for him and his family now that immoral terrorist are pretty much running his homeland and the crime wave is out of control, many thanks to reforms there.

I did not read his post on this thread as just logged on, so no comment one way or the other. I do hope some of the returning members refrain from their rascism accusations, personal insults, or trying to promote some politically correct agenda as they did in the past.

Definitely no Rolex for some time now, Ian. Perhaps you missed my "Leaky Building" thread.....click on link below...

http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...Leaky+building

...so I am dreading some upcoming expenses and a big temporary move into another unit until mine is fixed. The move happens first week of Jan. 08.

Wish me luck, Ian.

Cheers - JJ

WOW JJ! I am so sorry to hear about this. I wish you a lot of
luck and a speedy resolve to this. I am lucky I live in a concrete condo which have less problems of this nature but here In Vancouver the leaky condo thing has been massive. It was only a couple of years ago the provincial government stepped in with some compensation but still it hit hard and a few good folks I know lost a great deal of money, good hard working law abiding folks, really sad.
I am told New Zealand is a lot like BC, I have quite a few kiwi friends, one dear one here who will be heading home for Christmas, her family is on the north Island
I wish you and the family a speedy resolve to this and hope that soon you will be looking toward your hard earned on more pleasurable things.
Take care and good luck

Thanks for your good wishes, Ian....I'm deeply touched!! Yes, we are all hoping for a speedy resolve.

On the bright side, we will all have new homes at the end of it all.....and work is going on in full swing. In fact, the guys are around 5 weeks AHEAD of schedule, which is really good news.

Cheers - JJ

Thanks JJ, great news that they are ahead of schedule and you are right about it being like having a new home at the end of it..Hmm, you know what they say,"new home, new watch"!! I have been pondering this a bit, if you were to get a new watch what model would it be, would love to know, also I know your a two watch man so which would go or would you bend the rules on that ( remember, rules are there to be broken)

Chad, I gave the guy plenty of rope, and he hung himself but good. The final straw was when he took to describing a culture as a subspecies, reminiscent of the Racial Hygiene policy of 1933 to 1939 - that was an outright racist tactic. You could well be right about there having been some truth in his posts, but the overall nature of his posts and his attempts to justify what he wrote showed us exactly where he was coming from and that he had no intention of keeping it off the forum. As such, there was simply no point in his remaining here.

Well, we do have to remember where he is coming from. A country where now Whites are being severely persecuted. White Farmers and ranchers being kicked of their property. Rights being taken away, and crime out of control. South Africa was much more stable in the past under old regimes (though there were faults as well). It upsets me when I see what is happening to many of my good friends in SA, yet the media does not give it any coverage. An example of this was my Hunting Guide, who bought a large Ranch 10 years ago, and then last year the government came in and reclaimed it and took it away from him because he is white. He received no compensation. If it was the other way around the media would be all over it.
Again, I can not comment on BB's post, as they were deleted before I viewed, so no idea.
I believe that to discriminate against any person, due to the color of their skin is wrong. Actions of people are what should be discriminated against. There are a lot of places in Africa where the countries have regressed into Darkness, evil abounds, and the people have lost all moral values. South Africa used to have one of the best Armys in the world, now it is decimated and their is over a 60% HIV rate amongst the soldiers. Very sad and poor leadership in this nation.

Not trying to get another argument started, just wanting others to know that Blue Bull, an Educated Surgeon, is going through a lot of turmoil now and may be having to give up all he and his family worked so hard to acheive, as they now may have to leave and seek refuge in another country. Same thing alread happend as well with SA's neighbor,, Zim....

Be that as it may, Chad, BB's posts were not directed at anyone who was taking his land away or driving him out of South Africa. Being educated, the onus is even more upon him to maintain some self-possession and refrain from striking out at parties uninvolved in his current circumstances.

LOL!! Thanks for your optimism, Ian. You're right, I am basically a TWO-watch man....and I'm very happy with my Blue Sub and white Exp-II.

I really cannot even think about a third Rolex until all of the "leaky building" stuff is resolved. Each unit owner is still looking down the barrel at around NZ$20K to cover the overhead costs involved.

Well, as long as I have a brand new home.....that's all that really matters in the end.

Thanks for your kind words and concern.....appreciated.

Regards - JJ

Now I understand how Chris has been banned.

It's a bit strange how the tone of his threads just changed ever so gradually over the months.

I really quite liked him when he was first on but he seemed to paint his way ever so gradually into a corner, until .......

Bit of a shame really, but there you go.
