Sorry to hear about your situation Vanessa. Hopefully you're alright. Shouldn't the insurance company cover the cost for a replacement vehicle? I can't imagine your 2007 would depreciate that much already.

But I will agree with the others and say that you're not going to get a new Honda or Toyota v6 for $20k. You can probably pick up a used one for that price. If not, 4 cylinder isn't that bad and you save on gas.

You might want to take the same advice I've given my car repair customers, and take a hard look at the Hyundai lineup. Several have bought, and all have been pleased. The Sonata came in last year as #1 family sedan in the JD Powers Initial Build Quality survey, and is priced below the Camry and Accord.

Hyundai also offers the best warranty in the industry.

It's a little more than planned, but hey isn't that how it always goes!
We'll have to wait and see what we're going to get from the insurance, but should get the full value of the '07 back. (+/- 22k)

You can't go wrong with a Camry or Accord IMO although I'm not familiar with the problems Karis mentions but it may be worth looking into before you take the plunge.

Hi, you could get a 1970s Ferrari 308 gt4 in your budget in decent condition V8 or maybe even an Acura NSX 1991 automatic. Seriously, get a Mustang GT possibly a 2002 body style for a lot less money maybe $7K. my 2 cents

get the 2007 accord V6. they just release the new model. so if you do not care about the 2007 old model. it should be affordable.

BUT THE BREAKING SYSTEM IS KIND OF CRAPPY. or very crappy.

We had an Accord. It was a good car, traded it for an Altima. The Altima was a good car also, but ultimately we traded it for a Hyundai Sonata. From our experiences, it's the best and safest of the three. You might want to give it a look.

It's a snowplow, not a cow catcher. I got rid of the old set up and moved on to something new. Kelly's grandfather is retired from GM and we are entitled to his family discount in addition to any other rebates that are being offered at the time.

This is "MY" first vehicle with power windows and locks. I'm liking them very much

Secondly; the girl that hit us claims she went thru the green light! You know, she didn't even hit the brakes before she crashed into us! And she had her cell phone still in her hand when she jumped out of her car, screaming and yelling! Anyways, they have no proof and no witnesses besides ourselfs that she had a red light while we had a green arrow!
So the cops left it at that! They didn't even check if she was drunk or anything.

Well, if there were no independent witnesses, then it will be your word against hers. If you had another person in your car they can also be a witness.
If you have insurance, then your insurance should pay you for your damage (less your excess) and under their rights of subrogation, your insurance company could sue the other driver in your name and require you and your passenger to be witnesses, in seeking to recover the money your insurer has paid out to you.
If you don't have insurance, then yes, you would need to go and see a lawyer and get him/her to go through the necessary steps.
I hope you can get a result without too much trouble.
Driving whilst using a cell phone is negligent in my book, and impairs concerntration on the road.
